Hi,

I just wanted to share something for you all. I just heard about Fare for All.  It is part of the emergency food shelf locally but anyway can come.  They purchase food directly from the grocery distributors and sell to anyone, low income or not.  In fact, they want more people to buy the food because the more that do, the cheaper they can get it.  Anyways, we are not low income but I am always looking to save on meat, specifically because we go through a lot and it is expensive.  I went there and most of the meat was "past due" but they specifically guarentee that all meat was frozen by the due date and it is very safe to eat.  They have fruits and veggies there and some canned items and pasta items but again, I was there for the meat mainly.  They take EBT, cash and credit.  Anyways, I got all this for $26:

2lbs dry black beans

A container of vegetable oil

1 package of turkey bacon

3 Pork Tenderloins

4.5lbs of Boneless Skinless Chicken breasts.   These were all natural chicken breasts too-score!

There was lots of other meat there that I didn't buy--turkey, sausage, ham, full chickens etc. Also rice, fruit, veggies.  Great concept--check out the link below!
