low milk production in one breast

I was wondering if anyone had any advice about how to increase the milk production in just one breast... My right breast produces only about half as much as the left. I have no idea why, since I always nurse on both sides. Also, when I pump lately I feel like I'm not pumping as much as I used to, but I feel like my babe is nursing more often and I don't have the chance to let it build up before I pump. Is this a possibility? The whole thing is really stressing me out. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thank you!!!

I have no advice other than to say I think this is very normal.  And for some reason it does seem like more women have more in their left breast.  I know I did. When I pumped, it literally was 2 or 3 times more in the left for a while, and by the end of our breastfeeding relationship, it was probably 5 times more in the left.  DS seemed to prefer the left.  My sister even commented once on how lopsided I was, and I have had multiple friends with the same issues stuffing one side of their bra.  Maybe it is because the heart is on the left?  I don't know, but I wouldn't stress.  Seems very common and if your babe is getting what they need, that is wonderful.

Thanks for the response! Yea, my left has been way more comfortable to nurse from since day one! I feel like the positioning of me holding him on that side is even better. Sometimes though, especially in the late afternoons if he gets super fussy I do supplementt b/c I just don't trust that he's absolutely getting enough from that right boob. I figure if he's getting breast milk 90%-95% of the day then supplementing is ok, especially b/c it calms him and puts my mind at rest!
