When will May be up? **Edited** Link to new May 2012 Group inside - Page 5

Hmm...Bubblema, your post made me think perhaps we could all just start a facebook group while waiting for the DDC to be up? I think a lot of the DDCs end up doing a fb group (yes, I've been stalking other DDCs just waiting for the day I could join one, haha!) And yes, steak sounds great :-)

Meredith, Janellody, BubbleMa, I am out of the loop about your pos.gif! Congrats to you three, so wonderful to see some familiar faces/names here.

I also saw the facebook meme and wanted to say "I'm five weeks and everything smells terrible but I'm eating it anyway!"  ROTFLMAO.gif

Meredith, I am with you on this timing thing -- it is fabulous! How long do you plan to wait before you tell your principal? I am a bloated hot mess and afraid people will suspect soon, but since I'm new maybe they'll think I've just always been this shape! Part of me wants to wait a long time, but I am also bursting to share.

I don't do fbook, but my dh has one.  Maybe ya'll can friend him. LOL  bigeyes.gif

:( I think I might be out. Pink blood this evening, not a lot, but more than spotting. I've never had early bleeding with any of my previous pregnancies. Well, I did have implant bleeding with my oldest, but at the time I had no clue it was leading to pregnancy, just thought it was a light period. At any rate a little late for implant bleeding since it's pink.

tibris ~ ((HUGS)) Hoping and praying that everything is ok! Light spotting in early pregnancy is pretty common...could you maybe get checked out by your midwife tomorrow or something?

Reno ~ The OneThread is having a bfp explosion right now. KM84 got one too! I am terrible at keeping this a secret as well! I'm going to wait until we see the heartbeat on an ultrasound (around 8-9 weeks, right?) before telling my principal. We have a new principal this year and I don't know him that well yet...our old principal was this 60 year old grandma-ish lady and I'd have probably told her already haha! But this new guy...I just don't know. Of course, my 3 closest teacher friends know, so given how well ladies keep secrets in my school, everyone will know soon enough lol.gif

Never was happy with any MW I met with in the last two pregnancy, but thank you for assuming a crunchier me :) I don't know that my dr office would do much. Early on as I am, they probably wouldn't do anything. Maybe draw blood and tell me to come back next week to do it again. I might call in the morning just to see.

lol are you suggesting teachers gossip?? No! :) SIL is a teacher :p

If I end up mc it is going to make the fb postings not so funny :(

YAY! SO glad to see you here! Congrats!!!

And congrats to all the other newcomers :) We have a great group here (even if we're just a wee thread for now).

We've been interviewing midwives this week and we found the ones we want to work with today. We just all clicked instantly and it felt like we'd known each other forever. My husband and I are now even more excited about this whole process! Plus - we just heard back about a house we put in an offer for, and they accepted our offer :D so now we'll [probably] have a home to actually give birth in.

Even though I had pretty terrible nausea, it's been a pretty good day. I hope we can get this group stuff sorted out soon!

^ Can't you have a HB in an apartment? That was kinda my plan LOL

We are in a 3 fam but we are a townhouse attached to a townhouse above a basement type apartment. Now that I think of it the walls are a bit thin...although I definitely doing another hypnobirth Lord knows what will happen during transition....I guess I will just warn the neighbors?

Hi again maryamrose!!!

Quick question... my friend (who has an 11 month old) says that the doctors count how far along you are starting from the first day of your last period (mine was august 4) meaning I would be almost 4 weeks??? That seems crazy as my baby is obviously only 2 weeks old and not 4!  Is this true??  Does anyone know?

We're planning on an "apartment birth" too.  We live on the terrace level so the only apartment we share a wall with is the one above us.  I don't know if we'll warn her or not.  Maybe we'll wait and see how loud it gets.  I don't know yet.

On another note, I took another test this morning and got another nice dark BFP!  It still hasn't quite sunken in yet, but it's starting to!

Yep, that's right janellody!

Most people don't chart, so they don't know their exact O date. Because of that, the first week of the 40 week pregnancy starts CD1.

You can calculate your DD from either the date of your last period, or your O date. If you have an "average" cycle with O on CD14, you'll get the same date. But since I have longer periods and didn't O until CD17 (and that was EARLY for me!) I used my O date to calculate.

Did you set up FF's pregnancy tracker? It's pretty bare bones, but it tells you what week/trimester you're at, and lets you calculate your DD. I actually prefer it to some of the others, because it's not trying to sell me a bunch of crap (cough the bump).

Oh and hi! I finally decided to wander over from TTC. I'm afraid this may be a chemical pregnancy, but we'll see how the next week goes for me.

I don't see why not! The only reason I'm not willing to do it here is because this isn't really our home - it's a temporary little pad while we sort out house stuff, and I'm not comfortable here. But I would totally give birth at home (and maybe chat with the neighbors so that they don't think that something terrible is happening!)

Me too!  I'm so glad I send him to daycare because when I'm with him it's all the time so at least I get a little break.  I'm trying to wean to set times but it's not working very well.  He loves his milkies.  I asked him if they tasted different and he said no.  It doesn't bother me either.  I feel no difference.

Mine from May '09 did.  It didn't form until when they were about to shut us down though.

SO I am almost 4 weeks.. WOW lol.  Time flies :P  Yes, I have the VIP FF, it shows due date as May 12 but doesn't say anything about how many weeks I am, I just assumed I was 2 since I O'd on the 22nd... but whatever. I like being 4 weeks better!  I feel like I have accomplished more LOL!

As I am sitting here.. I am starting to get crampiness like period cramps,... ughh. This sucks!  I am assuming this can be normal?  I took another test today and the second line showed up IMMEDIATELY way before the first line.  it is super dark, too!  So I am definitely pregnant!!

I got a BFP yesterday.  I hope the DDC is up soon!  Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

That's normal! I've had that since 12 DPO (over a week). It's become a lot less frequent but it's still totally unnerving because it feels like the beginnings of period cramps. The midwives I interviewed with all insisted that it's completely normal.

Hello May mamas! I just got by BFP yesterday. I'm estimating a May 5th due date, just 2 weeks before DS 2nd birthday. So excited to be here and starting our pregnancy journey :-)

Awesome, thanks for confirming!!  My mom got worried when I told her I was cramping.. I figured it would be normal since a lot os going on down there but I am glad you have confirmed it is OK!  I don't need any undue stress right now :)

I am off to the state fair today.. I hope these cramps/headache/hot flashes/sore boobs don't get in the way of a good time LOL.  I won't be going on any rides and I will try to cut back on nasty fair food!  Yay!
