Denver Midwives

I am in the process of interviewing for home birth midwives in the Denver area.  It is our first baby, and wondered if anyone had recommendations.  We are scheduled to visit with Jan Lepitino as of yet.  Also if you gave birth at Mountain Midwifery, I'd love to hear a bit about your personal experience there.

Janet Schwab is a local Certified Nurse Midwife.  I believe she's the only CNM that does home birth.  She has tons of varied experience.  Here is her website...

I don't talk specifically about my experience with Mountain Midwifery in the story (other than events taking place there), but I loved it, and I had a beautiful birth, and I can't wait to have my next child there someday.  I will be a repeat customer.

I realize this is also a bit late, but Jan attended both of my births and she is absolutely wonderful!

A close friend just gave birth last week, with Jan attending. She was trying for an HBAC and after a long while at home, had to transfer. Thanks to Jan's assistance with both my friend and the hospital staff, my friend had a successful VBAC in the hospital. More thumbs up for Jan!
