Friend in labor...quick question!!!

Doc was pushing induction, so she's been on cervidil last night. now doc wants to break her water or give petocin. Which is best/least painful???

Let me begin by saying I am not a birth professional and I have no idea why your friends doctor recommended an induction but I would agree to the Pit before AROM. The reason being, in a hospital birth, once the membranes are ruptured they typically give the woman 24 hours to deliver or they perform a c-section. If they administer Pit and it is unsuccessful your friend has options going forward. Hope that provides some food for thought.
