When I started leaning towards TF I told my mom about it. She gave me several beef livers that she had in her freezer, some since '09. There's from steers they raised so I feel comfortable eating the livers. The problem is they're in very thin bags and are freezer burned. I thought that it would be best to make stock from them. That way a lot of the nutrients would be in the stock and I wouldn't have to eat freezer burned liver. Yuck.
The second portion to this is I have backyard chickens and I'm considering feeding the cooked liver to them since they're omnivorous.
Any thoughts on either matter? TIA!
