infant playgroup in Tucson?

Hi all-

I live in the central part of Tucson and am looking for an infant playgroup to start socializing my six-month-old.  One issue is that I'm a working mom so I am only available evenings and weekends.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Hi there... just curious, what type of playgroup/support are you looking for?  With my infant (she is 6 now) my getting together was purely about me!  Adjusting to parenthood, connecting with like minded moms (I had just returned to Tucson and had like no friends going into pregnancy).  Or are you literally looking for a baby connection?

Anyway, I also had a friend with an infant who worked, and it was very difficult for her to find connection because most of the SAHM were with family in the evenings and weekends, but had plethora amounts of time in the day....

I know the BWHC here as an awesome baby time for moms to connect and meet other babies and such.  It is in the daytime, but maybe you could connect with someone there and branch out into evenings...

The birth center used to have a Saturday mom/baby group. Also call the Parent Connection. There groups were always in the week, but maybe they've added weekend meetings since I went there.

I'm looking for a playgroup both for me and for my son.  While I do work and so I'm out of the house a fair amount, I don't have a lot of other mom's that I know to talk things over with and would like a social network that could share those experiences with me.  I am also looking for ways of getting my son started with a peer group (though I recognize he probably won't really appreciate it now).  My son is my first and most likely going to be my only child so I'm already concerned that socialization will be of paramount importance.
