I'd like to have some on hand, but can anyone tell me where or how to get it?  When I googled it, I saw it in sheets....is that what I want?

Are you referring to using seaweed to assist with healing minor 1st degree tears and/or skidmarks?

You can buy Nori sheets at any Asian market, health food store, or even the imported foods section of your local big grocery store.  If you plan on using Nori (versus other types of seaweed), make sure it is NOT toasted.

You can also use strips of Wakame or Kelp.  With any of these seaweeds, you would do a brief rinse with water (preferably distilled if you do not have sterile water) before applying.

Here is an interesting article from Midwifery Today regarding using seaweed for perineal tears:

And if you type "seaweed perineal tears" into google, you'll find a lot more info, too.  Good luck! smile.gif

You can get it in the Asian foods / sushi section of the supermarket and online through places like http://www.therawfoodworld.com

Sorry I didn't see your answer till today!  Yes, that's what I'm referring to.  I haven't needed stitches yet, but I'd like to have some of this on hand at any rate.
