DS(11) was newly diagnosed with ASD. He's much more comfortable with information if he can also find it in books and he's wanting to understand the point of the diagnosis. We've been talking about it on car drives (he's way more comfortable talking in the car) but I think he could do with independently reading some. I saw some great book recommendations (I've read some of Temple Grandin's writing and maybe it would fit the bill, especially as he's also really into animals and farming), but I'm wondering if there's any books people found particularly helpful for this age group, hopefully more about living with ASD than parenting a child with ASD (I think that type of thing would annoy him).
Thanks!
