Cannot get my 3 mo to take a bottle...

She took a bottle around 3 weeks old, but she had horrible reflux that it stressed my husband out to give her a bottle so I nursed her for about 3 weeks straight without trying a bottle again.  Now, for over one month, we have tried bottle type after bottle type, but she will not take it under any circumstances.

Suggestions on bottles or techniques to get her to bottlefeed?  I would love to go out alone every once in awhile!

We had an issue at about the same age (also had bad reflux).  Fortunately, our situation did resolve.  Have you tried having DH give it to her while walking her around in an out-facing carrier like a Bjorn or a wrap using an out-facing carry?  My LC suggested this.  I thought it sounded crazy but a lot of her clients have had luck with it.  Something about the distraction factor as well as the fact that it will not remind her of nursing at all.  Good luck!  This was one of the most stressful experiences I have had!

Yes, an idea we have not tried!  We will give this a shot tomorrow and hope it makes a difference.  Thank you!!

I have five kids, and all refused bottles. DH had to get really creative with them and eventually, it worked.

He would do a "sneak attack" and try to feed them right before they would awaken from a nap, when their eyes were still closed and they didn't know what they were sucking on. To do this, he'd usually put one of my shirts (my smell) by their face, and run the nipple under HOT water so it was super warm and inviting against their cheek.

Or he would hold them facing out if they were awake.

Sometimes baby would prefer the milk cold instead of warm.

And other times baby would flat out refuse and wait till I got home from work, and then nurse all.night.long.

We just bought a mimijumi bottle, and so far, so good. The other kids took the Adiri Natural Nursers, but this baby likes the mimijumi.
