Great Family Dentist in the Cities

I am having my share of bad experiences with dentists since we moved here.  I have never had a cavity and my children have beautiful strong teeth, yet the dentists I've been seeing insist on sealants, xrays and flouride.  My last dentist told me that he would not be able to have us as patients if I resisted xrays for my 3 1/2 year old.

Can anyone recommend a good dentist that is a more natural, holistic dentist?  I've heard of Dr. King in SLP but he doesn't take insurance.

I live in Uptown but kiddos are in school in St. Paul, so I would be open to anywhere!

I don't know about natural or holistic but they are very gentle, patient, kind, and respectful. And do not use amalgam fillings, nor push for unnecessary work.

Dr. King at King Tooth passed away last year, his practice has been taken over by two other holistic dentists.  Here is what their site said about insurance, so you might have a shot:

INSURANCE

Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. We are NOT a party to that contract. In the event we do accept assignment of benefits and your insurance company has not paid your account in full within 60 days, you are responsible for payment regardless of any insurance company’s arbitrary determination of usual and customary rates. Your complete insurance information must be presented at the time services are provided. Insurance claims cannot be backdated.
