So, my oldest son Owen (2 years, 4 months) has had eczema, allergies, minor asthma (brought on by the allergies), and loose stools for at least a year now.  His Dr put him on zyrtec, which helped with most of those problems really well, until I realized it was making him absolutely nuts! (Talk about parent guilt over giving it to him for so long.)  Well, about a month ago, he started getting an itchy eczema rash in his hair and it quickly spread down his back.  I'm a big raw milk fan, and I've always let him drink as much as he wanted.  I've been very reluctant to try the elimination diet.  But, I was desperate, so I finally cut out milk.  And, lo and behold, the rash went away, his stools are fantastic, and his behavior is much better (you know, for a 2 year old).  I haven't cut out baked goods or the little bit of cheese in his scrambled eggs, but all straight up milk.  Yesterday, he had yogurt and the rash immediately came back.

So, here's my question.  What are my options? I hate for him to not be able to drink milk forever.  I really don't want to take him to an allergist.  I don't trust his pediatrician to give us good nutritional info.  I've read some stuff online about reversing allergies.  Is that possible???? Have you guys had experience with this????

I'm a WAPFer, but I know NO ONE else who does anything like this, and all my friends think I'm nuts. Â
