The only one who is suffering from it, is your child.

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier.  Mamamoogs, please hear what these people are saying.  You are NOT being ganged up on, you are being told that what you are doing is not responsible by a lot of people who just want to see your daughter comfortable.  There's a difference.  I'm all for a natural approach but I'm kind of appalled that any natural practitioner would take the time to go through 20 remedies without seeing an improvement and allow the child to suffer without telling you to seek medical help.

It's VERY short sighted to refuse pharma.  It can be life saving.  It can also be palliative and useful while you pursue natural methods of healing and could create a situation where she is comfortable as you search out the underlying cause.  It's not fair for her that you're refusing treatment by mainstream medicine because ONE medication didn't work (I'm hoping I read that wrong.)

Please, from someone who has not one but THREE children that suffered from digestive issues, do not take a stand here.  Accept help from the GI to at least stabilize her.  If you want to go looking for an alternative treatment that works more power to you.  Just don't let her suffer while you do.  This has gone on too long with not enough relief.  It is not a failure on your part or a kink in your crunchy armour to procure and dispense medication to a child that needs it.  It is, however a failure to allow a child to suffer so that you can be "holistic."

Don't get all fussy with us!  You, OP, are the one who first stated that you went to a GI (which implies ONE) & didn't follow his advice, and then had to back-peddle and say you went to SEVERAL GI's.  Regardless - you obviously aren't interested in medically managing her problem, which I believe falls under the category of neglect.

Since you're so into the holistic thing, can you explain why you are against magnesium?  It's pretty darn natural, IMO.  And I completely agree with other posters who have said that your child is no longer feeling bowel pain.  Your child is in pain, and you as her mother, need to help her.

btw...Google Munhchausen by proxy.  Then look in the mirror.
