I am 99% sure I am going to have my placenta encapsulated this time around. But I was wondering if anyone knows if there would be a benefit to my having my OLD placenta done NOW? I have a three year old placenta in my freezer. I can't bring myself to throw it away.. but I can't imagine something that old would be any "good." I also can't find any information about whether or not it has benefits during pregnancy.
On another semi-related note. This puppy is HUGE. My midwife and the nurse at the birth all said it was by far the largest placenta they'd ever seen. They actually weighed it out of curiosity. lol What makes one grow a huge placenta?
I have to say it was nice instantly losing all of that weight. :)
