Moving to Tacoma Wa in Fall---tell me about it!

I, my dh and ds (6 years old) are moving up to Tacoma Wa sometime this fall. My husband grew up there and we have familiy there, but their kids are all grown so they don't have much info. Looking for info on elementary schools, pediatritians or anything else you'd care to share.
