If you've breastfed two or more kids, how long did it take you to get your period back each time?

This question is assuming you got your period back before you started weaning.

How long did it take you to get your period back with each child? Was it around the same amount of time, or very different?

It took me 19 months to get m period back the first time, and I'm wondering whether it's likely to be similar a second time around.

Had lots of trouble nursing ds1 and no trouble with ds2 (no bottles with either one, and no mama-baby separation til one year).

Almost 24 months the first time and maybe 26 months the second time.  (I can't remember exactly, but I know it was a little longer.)

Both children were exclusively nursed on demand.  My second child didn't demand as often ;)

#1 = 3 months

#2 = 7 weeks

I'm afraid next time will be even sooner!

My 2 kids are CLWed. First at 18 months and 2nd 16 month.

#1 - 6.5 mo

#2 - 10.5 mo (tandem nursing #1 once a day)

#3 - 4.5 mo (tandem nursing #2 2-3 times per day)

that last time i def. had a 'warning' period the first time and then ovulated and had another period 30 days later - then had a 100 day cycle after that..  and then a few 40ish day cycles .. totally different than the first 2 times..

Never got it back as i got pregnant each time before i actually got the first period back so here's the breakdown-

Nursing twins- got pregnant when they were 3.5 years old

next child- got pregnant when he was 3

next- pregnant when she turned 3

got divorced and got my cycle back when he turned 3

nursing a newborn now- am sure I'll follow the same 3 year no fertility cycle!

It has returned one year earlier for me. I induced it back when DD1 was 2.5y, it returned when DD2 was 18m and came when DS1 was 8 months old. DS2 is just a newborn so no idea this time.

It was about 18 months each for my first two (even though I was away from them all day, pumping once or twice, and even though my 2nd slept through the night at a very young age) and only a little earlier (15 months, I think?) with #3 (even though I was home with him and nursing all day and night at that age). How often they nursed didn't seem to make a bit of difference.

Yah...i'm bitter :) All 3 were ebf, and not nightweaned, but af still came back!

4months with the first, 3months with the second. its like my body was dying to get pregnant again cuz at 7 months postpartum i was pregnant with ds2, and then 11m postpartum with him i was pregnant with the current baby in the belly
