Anyone have or experienced a pressure-type feeling in your uterus around this time? I'm 16 weeks and I notice when I am sitting or doing something similar, I have this pressure feeling in my uterus when I get up and it's not all that comfortable, kind of feels like I have to urinate but I know I don't have to. Sometimes I have to stop in midwalk once I get up because it hurts. Is it normal?
Pressure-type feeling in uterus?
I've felt pressure in different parts of my uterus for the past week or two (I'm 17 weeks)...I remember feeling that when I was pg with dd, I think it's just the baby laying against that part of your uterus.
I also have round ligament pain, which is more of sharp pains and not pressure - it's also normal and is just your uterus growing and stretching.
If you're concerned at all, call your midwife/OB and ask about it!
from time to time, i've felt this, esp with dd as she got bigger in there. to me, it felt like she was stretching out and pushing against the uterus. it seemed like the feeling of baby rolling around in there. now i feel that much more than any actual movement.
eta: and you don't have to pee? there's not one single moment that i don't have to pee. hmph.
I totally know how you feel. That's all I do all day long! I could go and then two minutes later go again!
I just saw my doc today and she said the feelings are all normal. Just the ligaments stretching, especially since this is baby #2 the ligaments stretch more easily I'm guessing. She said not to get up too fast, which I am certainly guilty of. It surely can be painful when it happens though.
I get the pressure thing too. I think for me it's sometimes baby position but also sometimes pressure on my intestines. Like I'd have to go #2 in a minute if the uterus wasn't pinching everything inside me. It's weird and annoying but a normal part of pregnancy for me so I don't worry. I just try to go to the bathroom and stay regular.
Also, for all you round lig. suffers out there, there's a remedy!! Yeah, who knew! I went through three pregnancies with increasingly terrible RL pain until I found a midwife with my 4th who knew just what to do! She had me take a supplement called MSM every day and then use Complete Tissue and Bone (I used the massage oil) topically when it flared up. Really, it only flared up when I wasn't diligent in taking the MSM. But when it flared, oh, boy, it was BAD! I was so grateful for the MSM! The CT&B worked too, but the MSM kept it from being a problem in the first place. I really don't know what another caregiver would have done because it was just and ungodly amount of pain! Sheesh!
