gift baskets - I actually picked up a bunch of goodies for mine today. I got a box of mixed teas, some instant cappuccino thing, crystal light, chocolates & apple cider. I plan to put in some hand cream & some more candies/chocolates. To finish I am going to make some rice/lavender bags that can be warmed in the microwave - still debating what size & how many to make. I'm not sure what to put on the tag, I was thinking maybe "Thanks for helping to welcome our baby to this world with peace & respect." - any feedback is welcome.
steph - I hope your ds gets used to the glasses quickly - hopefully he'll like the improvement in his vision.
not_telling - I had exactly the same thing with ds' clothes. Very strange. I just washed everything normally & hung to dry in the sun & they all seem to be ok now.
afm - last night when ds woke up in the middle of the night (thankfully wanting dh!) my belly hurt from my sternum all the way down to my pubic bone. It was rather horrific if I tried to move at all. It was gone this morning & I'm thinking maybe I just woke up in the middle of a good set of bh contractions & was too groggy to figure that out.
Today my sil & nephew are visiting mil. Oy - the stress! Sil is one of those people with the incredible ability to make everyone around her miserable with her mood/attitude. Made for a long & anxiety ridden day - something I just did not need.
The most interesting part of the day was that my nephew discovered kittens in the barn. One of our barn cats was found dead on the road yesterday evening & it turns out she had kittens. 7 kittens that are about a week old. Wow. So we now have a box of kittens living in our spare room & are on a 3 hour feeding schedule. Not something I anticipated at this point in time but in a way I'm relieved. Having the kittens used to humans right off means we can find homes for them instead of having our barn cat population explode. Ds is thrilled but he won't hold them 'cause he doesn't like their nails - lol.
