Positive OPK???

Need an opinion on this please ladies.

I did an OPK this morning but I left it on the bathroom windowsill and didn't get a chance to look at it until maybe 20 minutes had gone past. I think it looks positive, just want a second opinion really. I did OPKs yesterday and the day before and they were both negative, no real second line at all.

thanks.

I'd say no.  Remember that the test line has to be darker than the control line.  This test indicates that you're starting to surge, but that it will peak probably in 1-3 days and then you're supposed to ovulate with 24-36 hours of the peak.  Just keep in mind that a peak OPK does not confirm O, only temping will do that for you.  Good luck!

thanks for the reply. I'll just keep testing and see what happens, and what my temps do. I thought it was positive if it was as dark as or darker than the control line.

In the pic the test line clearly looks lighter than the control.  Maybe it doesn't appear that way in real life?  Are you testing in the afternoon?  It is generally agreed that LH spikes in the latter part of the day, so testing after noon is usually best.  You can also test morning and evening as you think you're approaching the peak to make sure you catch it.  This is how OPK's get addictive and expensive!  smile.gif  Your CF and temps will really tell you everything you need to know to pinpoint O as best you can.

I did test in the afternoon but I think my sample was too dilute, I tested again this evening and got a line a little bit lighter (but again I think it was a bit dilute, I've been running to the bathroom like crazy today). It was about the same IRL

thanks again
