Teething and Fever...WDYT?

So my 16 mo DS is getting his top molars. For the past week, he has had a low grade fever twice. He doesn't have any other symptoms of any kind of infection, and he's playing, eating, and generally himself other than the temp being around 100. However, he's drooling, jamming his hands in his mouth, and nursing like crazy so I KNOW he's having mouth pain. I have read a lot of conflicting information about teething and fevers, mostly I've heard that it's not possible, but I swear every time he's cutting a tooth he has a fever that doesn't have any other explanation. The last time I took him to the ped who couldn't find anything wrong.

Did any of you experience this with your DC?

All 3 of my kids get fevers when they are cutting teeth.   And crabby too and their noses run like crazy.

My DS hasn't had one fever (though he's been incredibly crabby!), but my DD ran a low grade fever with each tooth.

Well, in addition to teething, it turns out the poor boy had roseola. He's all better now...but that sure sucked.

My ds always ran a low grade fever and I think my dd does too. When someone says that's impossible I ignore them. Some kids do, some don't.

And sorry about the Roseola =(

Thanks. I feel like he's definitely one of those kids...I can't wait until teething is over.
