last question

Hi jamie- I was sad to see the notice that you are leaving this forum yesterday. I hope that means you are closer to your big travel adventure though.

I have one more question due from my membership, and I was planning to save it for a good time, so I am having trouble deciding on a question that I actually want to know the answer to. Ok, so here goes. Will I get tenure at my job (I am a professor)? Do you see anything or anybody that will give me a negative review, and how can I overcome those problems?

My review is in a month. I am so anxious about it that a good friend just suggested that I go to counseling

ETA - GAH! now I am worried that you are going to tell me no, and I am going to go into this knowing that... ugh, maybe I do need counseling. OK, yes, I can take it. Please tell me.

Well your energy is definitely clouding this for me. You have got to learn that what energy you put out in your thoughts, actions and words, DOES matter and it DOES affect a situation. I'm going to tell this to you straight, b/c well, I can...

You have gotten into a very negative mode of thinking. You've become very half glass empty and it is affecting your life. You used to be so much more joyous and free. You have gotten bogged down by regrets and negative thinking and it's spreading through out your life. How do I know this? Cuz I'm psychic silly ;)

So as far as your question goes here's what I have to say: Your energy tells me no you won't get tenure, however I don't think anyone is talking badly about you. I think it's a self-fulfilling prophecy you might be setting yourself up for. Change that. This instant!

I want you to try to figure out the root cause of your fear of NOT getting tenure. Then face it as it's in front of you. Recognize that no matter what happens, you will be okay and in the end, in the great big grand scheme of things, everything will be fine. You will be fine. You can choose happiness if you want to, just as you can choose regret, worry and fear.
Which choice are you making my friend?

Change your perception, change your world.  Then you will get tenure.

Wow, you are so amazing. I am going to miss this forum. I love even just reading what you tell other people. My husband tells me I am a glass half empty person all the time.

So, it is possible to change, and get tenure in, like, a month then? I guess you wouldn't say it if it weren't possible, right? I mean, do i really have the ability to change so much of myself overnight?

Anything is possible. People change in an instant. I've done it myself and I've seen it happen many, many times. In fact, I guide people toward that everyday in my business. That's what it's about. So I know for a fact that it can happen, and just as quickly as you make it happen.
