temping help

Me again!
I just started temping vaginally to see if my temps are more normal. I was wondering how important it is to be the same time each day. My alarm goes off between 430-5 am each morning but lately I've been having trouble staying asleep and I am up every hour throughout the night. For instance this morning I woke up at 345am and couldnt go back to sleepr only having going to sleep at 1230 should I have temp then or just lay there until my alarm at 445 then temp? What's best? I know I should do it as soon as I wake up but waking at all different times makes it hard.

Also picked up the book taking care of your fertility ...looking forward to learning from that smile.gifjoy.gif

I have personally found consistent time is the most important factor for getting consistent temps.  Even if I wake up close to morning and go back to sleep for an hour, my temp is better at the second wake up than the first.  And even if I wake up and lay there falling in and out of semi consciousness, my temp is still better if I take it at the same time, rather than when I first realize it's morning and I'm somewhat awake.  I also was awake every 1.5-2 hours at night with both my kids for years and still got biphasic patterns by keeping my temp taking time as consistent as possible.  But everyone is different, so I would suggest temping at both times and seeing which gives you a better biphasic pattern.  A little experimentation is necessary when you first get going with charting.

Glad you got the book- it's amazing!
