fall lettuce

We are doing a fall lettuce garden this year. Anyone else? It has been so hot here still I have delayed planting until this week.  I have never done fall lettuce before so I am excited to see how it turns out. Any good tips from more experienced cool weather gardeners?

I am also trying my hand at some fall beets and carrots, we'll see how it goes!

I am starting a fall garden soon also - another planting of snap peas, lettuce, spinach and Swiss chard, plus two containers of potatoes. I am in Georgia and am not sure when to plant. Doesn't help that it is still unbelievably hot and dry!!
