Mine just weaned on her own at 21-22 months :(

I highly doubt that my DD is going to be nursing much longer.  The last week it's only been once every couple of days or so.  She'll nurse for a second, tell me that it's yucky and then move on.  It's a little sad, but also nice to have a break before the new baby comes.

I think I already said this but I was SO sad when DS weaned.  I cried and cried and cried shy.gif  I didn't expect that reaction, but it was hard, so I'm definitely sending hugs to you mamas!  grouphug.gif

Our 15 month old is still trying to nurse and I'm starting to get an ever so tiny amount of milk back.. the only issue is that it feels like needles when he's nursing and makes me want to jump out of bed and run far, far away.. Hoping that goes away once I give birth! I have a feeling he will go back to nursing as soon as there is an actual supply.

Right now he just likes to talk to my boobs.. Seriously pulls my robe open, grabs them with both hands, and just talks gibberish and giggles at them.. It cracks me up. Oh and he's decided my nipples are his comfort item like a blanket or a stuffed toy. I wake up to him sound asleep trying to rub my boobs, lol.

As of July, I haven't been nursing. In 4.75 years, I'd been nursing someone, so it was a very strange transition. I guess I'm glad for the break. My youngest slowly cut down sessions and then stopped asking. I offered, but she refused and after a few days, I quit offering, knowing there was nothing left anyway. Considering how insanely sensitive my nipples have been, I can't say I'm sorry! 2.5 years isn't a bad run (though it seems so short considering her sister nursed 4.5 years!).
