Lyme and Pregnancy

Thread Starter

I am 18 weeks pregnant and suspect that I have lyme disease.  I think it's an old case, think I've had it for years.  But, I started with neurological symptoms in November, so that's what's led me down this road to finally finding something that fits what's going on with me.

Here's my question.  I've never treated lyme, so would I be better off waiting until the pregnancy is over to treat or doing it now?  Could I treat naturally with garlic and colloidal silver?  I just want to protect the baby and don't want anything to happen to him/her.  What's my best option?  Btw, my son has autism, and I know gut issues relate to autism, so I'm leery of doing the antibiotic during pregnancy long term because of this.

Thanks,

Crystal

Do you have the chance to see a naturopath or doctor that practices integrative medicine? They should be able to help you find the safest treatment while you're pregnant. Most allopaths don't even recognize chronic lyme disease. I'm not familiar with colloidal silver in pregnancy, but garlic should be safe.
