Brite, I am so sorry you feel like your body is betraying you. Maybe it, like you, did not realize that too much could be a negative thing. I’m really pulling for your body to ovulate one or two eggs all by itself and catch those swimmers.
Carmen – congrats on a longer LP again. It will be interesting to hear about your first RE appointment! I hope you are pleased with your doctor. Good luck!
KS, everything must feel like it’s happening SO quickly! As if the stress of conceiving isn’t enough, you have to add to it that you are putting stress on yourself to be perfect. I hope you’re able to find some peace and serenity somewhere in this process.
MrsPP, happy CD1!!! It’s so exciting you guys are on board and everything is GO for launch! Good luck good luck good luck! Happy sperm ordering.
PleasantlyFurious, sorry your cycle isn’t cooperating! It must be so infuriating, waiting and waiting. I hope maybe you are pregnant with a late implanter, but if you aren’t, I (strangely) hope AF shows up soon so you can get a move on.
Cortina – WELCOME to Queer Parenting! I hope you are able to get pregnant quickly and that polyp doesn’t cause you issue. Looking forward to learning more about you and your family.
Ad Astra, thanks for being so complimentary on our TWW Countdown Conversations, it makes us smile that others like them too! You, your partner, and your new babe are in our thoughts.
Sara, can’t wait to hear about your BFP Friday! That’s my birthday, so it’s an extra lucky day!
Today we are 7 DPO. Here’s the last two days’ worth of TWW Countdown Conversations:
6DPO: Do you harbor any secret hopes that our child will possess certain traits or inclinations?
7DPO: How involved or uninvolved do you think we’ll be in our child’s activities?
Afu, things are going pretty good. It seems we are forever experiencing difficulty and immense frustration with the CPS worker or the school district or the birth family of our foster kids… or all three, like today. URGH. The family is complaining that the little girl (who is 3years11months) is getting FAT. Which she isn’t. Then we come to find out that they are totally overfeeding the kids while they have them on visitation twice a week! Instead of snacks, they are getting whole meals, complete with dessert! You must be kidding me. The school district has yet to set up transportation to take Little Girl to daycare from school, even though its in her IEP and she is halfway through her third week there. GRRR. And the CPS worker disclosed my personal email address to the birth mother last week. We take our privacy very seriously, so I’m livid about it and the worker basically blew me off by saying, “Well, I didn’t think it would be a big deal.” AAAACKK!!!
Friday is my birthday, Monday is birthday dinner with friends, then next week is the big hearing in the kids’ case. My parents are coming to visit this weekend and DW’s dad is installing a new security door for us Saturday as well – thanks father in law!!! We’ve also got Parent’s Day at Little Girl’s preschool program, a meeting with the CPS worker and the birth family, and all manner of other crap I can’t even remember. No wonder this TWW is going by easily – nothing else in our lives seems to be!
Hope you all are well!
