What storage items have you found that work best for kids rooms?

I am in need of  doing a serious overhaul in the kids rooms. DD is 5 and DS is 8.

I am looking for ideas for storage units or ideas for storage.

Pictures would be appreciated!

I am going to start from scratch and am able to invest a little money into making our lives simpler and easier.

I'm in love with china cabinets for toy storage. lol.gif

I got an awesome one for $50 from Craigslist.  It isn't even a tacky 70's one.  It has cupboards on the bottom where we can keep bins.  It has a couple of drawers.  Then it has shelves with glass doors on top.  It's perfect for displaying lego creations while keeping the dust off.

I've seen some vintage ones I love and some creatively rehabbed with paint, wallpaper, and fabric.

I store a lot of DS' toys that he doesn't use on the top shelf of his closet. We also use the big plastic sterilite containers that aren't too tall, these go under his bed. We also have a sterilite chest of drawers. Sorry no pics!

We have a built in cabinet in the living room that I just reused some plastic bins to organize the toys - k'nex, trains, cars. The floor has two baskets, one with dolls and one with blocks. The upper part of the cabinet is all board games.
