We are glad you found this thread. We are a group of Mamas trying to get back in shape postpartum. We have varying amounts of weight to lose and and are trying a variety of strategies to do so. Welcome.

I currently weigh 195. My goal weight is 145.

Glad I found this thread!

Pre-pregnancy I was at 145 and I got up to about 180 just before my boy was born. I am already down to 157 which is very motivating! (Thank you, hungry nursing baby!!) I am 2 1/2 weeks postpartum and just got the ok from my midwife to start taking short walks and building up to regular exercise. I was so lazy during my pregnancy... being outside in the dead of summer is not my idea of a good time! But it is beginning to cool down a bit and I just purchased a double stroller so I'm ready to get moving!

My goal weight is 125. I am 5'2" so at 145 I was already overweight and I'm hoping that a combo of nursing, healthy eating and exercise will take me there.

I am updating my current weight.  I am down to 128lbs.  6 more to go to reach my goal, but would really like to lose 10.

Hello I would like to join here.  I am 19 months postpartum and I have a lot to lose.  I am currently 199 pounds.  My goal weight for now is about 135 pounds.

I'm still hanging in there doing WW and running. I'm down to 144lbs. It's coming off slowly but surely!!

Well my kids broke my scale by dousing it in water. My DH managed to fix it but when I stepped on it the darn thing said I'm back up to 200lbs. That's a five pound gain. I really hope it's wrong. I haven't been able to diet ever since I got on this stupid medicine that is making me so sick. I always feel like I have to barf! I'm wondering if I need my thyroid meds adjusted?  Nothing is easy right now, I can't wait to start feeling better.

Congrats! Slow and steady is the only way I think to make sure it will stick...or stay gone in this case.

Well, I think I'm ready to join you ladies.  I'm 7 mths pp.  My current weight is 161 and my goal is 130.  I've gone through so many fits and starts since I had my baby and I've gained and lost the same 5 lbs over and over. I tried to go back to WW (which once worked for me) but didn't like the new program. I tried low carb but felt really bad.  Finally, I'm just back to calorie counting. I feel a lot more in control and less obsessed about eating. I need to work on exercise now.

Hi again everyone-

Been MIA for a while.  I am doing the 'Insanity' workouts with DH. Week 4 currently and the fit test and measurements for week 2 had me gaining 2 lbs.... yikes.  Don't like that.

 

Oh well, we will see how the fit test next Monday goes. 

 

I am currently 143 and am still shooting for 135 (although, we are looking to start trying again soon).... I would like to be 140 when I get myBFP.

Hi, ladies! I've seen 154-155 on the scale most days lately. Reading through the thread just totally motivated me! I'm proud of myself for working out every Monday and Wednesday for over a month now! I really need to spend more time in the gym but it is hard to find that time! I've been doing worse eating, too, as my boyfriend just got back in town after a month away, is deploying soon, and is eager to eat out a whole bunch. Trying to get back on track now though...really hope I can kick another 20 lbs before I move back to my hometown in November.

homemademom life with Aubrey Rose is fantastic. I just started homeschooling again this week adding in pre k for my 4yo. So far it's slow going but were doing good other than me feeling sick. How's your babe?

trekkingirl, we're doing well, thank you. We had a lot of nursing difficulties in the beginning due to undiagnosed posterior tongue tie, but things are finally on track now.  My older children are back to school and I think we're all enjoying a little more structure after our busy summer :)

Oh I cannot even tell you how glad I am that this thread still exists. I AM BACK! And I need to be back! After a few fun and over indulgant vacations this summer, I decided to see what the damage was.. and I am up to 142lbs. So yeah, Working on getting these last 12lbs off once and for all! And I think once I do it this time (because I can and I will!) I will stick with a maintainence plan instead of just winging it last time. These past few months I have only been weighing myself once or twice a MONTH and using my head to guess the calories I am consuming. Shocking for me right?! Well anyway, obviously this didn't work for me, so it is time to get back on track! My baby is now 18 months, so I am not even remotely postpartum anymore, but this thread just feels like home. I'm sure there are many of you I haven't even met yet- crazy! Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you all better as I restart this journey! Lets do it!

Welcome back Amanda! Do you want me to update your stats? If so just the current weight? I think if you lose it, gain a bit back and then lose it again you get to count the lost then gained then lost again lbs twice smile.gif
