homeschooling with a group?

I know nothing about homeschooling but need to really start learning because all of a sudden DD is 2 1/2.  I do think it would be a bit lonely for my social butterfly DD. Does anyone ever "start" a "preschool" where it is what one would do at home but doing it with a small group of kids and moms. I mean an everyday thing rather than just for field trips etc.

thanks!

I would if you were nearby, I love the idea, and our kids are close in age, but unfortunately we are too far apart :) good luck!

When I was homeschooling the kids were attending meetings,co-ops,and field trips. There were moms there who brought their younger children(no school ages kids). Now that their kids are school aged they are already well intergrated into the homeschooling community.

You can usually find something to do that is free and educational most days if you live in a decent sized city. (It looks like you do.) Our area has multiple home schooling groups, so there would be enough activities to keep them busy most days if we wanted that. Are you looking for a regular group? Or maybe a few set activities/coop days?

I THINK i am really thinking about how to have a preschool experience that I have complete control over (with a few other moms). I would like a regular classroom type thing, with the same kids everyday. I guess it really depends on finding some moms that are interested, which actually may be difficult here.
