Wet bed mystery

Dh found ds (age 6) a very wet bed. Ds had only been in bed alone about 45-60 min. The moisture was cold. It was over a large area including on the pillows that weren't under ds's head. Ds himself was not very wet at all. It doesn't smell like anything. At first I thought he must have sleep walked and dumped some water, but I can't find any wet glasses or containers around. Can the wet in a wet bed be pee and not smell like pee? Could pee go cold that fast? We are very fortunate to have had almost no experience with wet beds.

Ceiling leak from rain or plumbing?

Thanks for the idea, but no rain recently and no plumbing in our ceiling--still I did look up for wetness and there was none there!

Yes it could be pee and not smell like pee.    Was he wearing clothes?  IME, when my kids wed the bed, their clothes are soaked.  If his underwear of bottoms are wet, then I would assume it is pee.
