go to the library!

Take the list of books you are interested in to the local public library, or check in the online catalog if they have one. If the library is totally lacking in books on the topic, take your list in and ask them to buy one or two and in the meantime, to please obtain copies for you via inter-library loan.

Books in the library are very effective consciousness raisers!

I'll be done with my library school coursework on Tuesday!

What every parent should know about childhood Immunization by Jamie Murphy

and

Z. Miller

has one that is just great but I can't remember the title. It
s the one that gives all the graphs and reports on the corruption and connection of the pHARMa and politicians. Anyone know?

It's not the one mentioned her on a previous post.

I really thought the Aviva Romm vaccination book was excellent. I read the Miller book - it had some good info, but even as a non-vaxer I thought it was too one-sided. I feel like it's just as wrong to be one-sided against vaccinations as for them. That's why the Romm book seemed more balanced to me; she didn't seem to be trying to sway your opinion, just to present facts. She also gave suggestions for reducing vaccine reactions, which is great for people planning to selectively (or fully) vax.

Stephanie Cave's book is a little dated (at least the edition I read) in that it focused a lot on mercury in the vaccines. Still, she suggestions for reducing vax reactions and offers a suggested schedule of vaccines in the back that would be great for someone who wanted to do some vax but break up the MMR and skip the ridiculous ones like varicella. She also details what things are included in the different vaccines (eggs, antifreeze, etc.).

That's the one

And now I think I'll order another one by him. He is a great informer.

I enjoyed the book by Romm and also another one by Randall Neustaedter that I didn't see mentioned (alhtough I might have just missed it!)- The Vaccine Guide: Risks and Benefits for Children and Adults (Revised Edition).

Randall Neustaedter's book is the one I began with. It's quite dogeared right now!

I loved Aviva Romm's book. It made me feel like I didn't have to be on one "side" or the other. It actually helped me make a decision about what to do.

The Randall Neustaedter book is the one I'm reading now and I really like its tone, too. To inform and help a parent make a decision.

I didn't like the Jamie Murphy book for just that reason. Unequivocally anti-vax. Which is fine, but doesn't really help me decide what's best for my child.
