Lol... Yep. It's starting to fade a bit though. I had it really strongly in the first week or so.

Oh yeah! I really hate when people want to hold my baby. I never thought I would feel so possessive over him. And what I really hate is when people kiss him on the mouth. Maybe its being a little OCD but I don't know where their mouths have been. I thought I would want to share him with the world but I am greedy with little Jude!

People are not allowed to kiss him on the mouth. I think I'd actually hit them.

Dusty got the oral herpes from his aunt as a kid that way and his first time with the sores were FULL BODY.

No one needs to be kissing my boy on the mouth until they're his age and dating him.

lol.gif Yes, I agree. My babies get to contract their very own oral herpes with a person of their choosing, thankyouverymuch!

Really though I find it weird that people would be wanting to kiss strangers' babies on the mouth. I don't even kiss DD on the mouth. Just all over the rest of her sweet little head!

Definitely! I can't stand uninvited baby touches and uninvited advice from people, I feel like it is such an invasion of our privacy. I was at DH's office with DD and one of his crazy female co-workers would NOT leave us alone for even a second. I kept hinting that I needed to change her diaper, hoping the lady would leave and she just stayed and wanted to watch me change the diaper, and then went on to criticize cloth diapers for being too bulky, grrrr, like I care that DD's butt looks a little bigger, these diapers are saving us hundreds of dollars, and are keeping diapers out of landfills. She kept on telling me all the baby junk I absolutely needed to get, and thought I was naieve for wanting to keep the junk to a minimum, BTW this woman is not even a mother, or an aunt.  When I started hinting that I needed to feed her the woman still would not leave so I had to just say I needed privacy because I wanted to breastfeed her. The lady acted all offended like she expected to sit around and just watch me feed her. What a nutter.

Oh yeah!  Some lady came up to Ada in the store and touched her right near her face...I bout died!  I can't stand that!  I wanna scream "Don't touch my baby!!  I don't want your germs!"

Yeah I need to start telling people no and how I do and don't want them handling my child. I am just so afraid I am going to hurt someones feeling because these people I speak of are family and close friends. But I don't know where their mouths have been but I just don't know how to politely say, can you please not kiss my baby without offending someone.. I guess I need to grow a pair! lol

I think I would if people tried to approach my baby. But so far, people have kept their distance. We don't have any family in town and very few friends (mainly ppl from work, none of which know where we live), so we haven't had any visitors. The times we've gone out no one has really approached us and tried to hold her or touch her- II've been told I have a standoffish air about me, even though I totally don't intend to- so maybe people keep away for that reason? Also her father is 6ft tall, big intimidating looking guy and he's always with us. The only people that have asked to hold her was when we went into my work- two of the ladies there. I let them, but DH could tell I was completely nerve wracked til they handed her back.

I'm hoping he doesn't ever get it. I never have! Nasty stuff! :)

And yeah. I don't see any point in kissing babies or kids on the mouth. There are much better places! I kiss his little shoulders and elbows a lot while he nurses :)

I had to tell my mother to quit sucking on his pinky finger today. Not sure what that was about. Took multiple tellings, too. First you try joking. Then repeating. Then the "No, really. Quit that."
