my son is 2.5 and hits his sister age 4 alot. he will just randomly walk up to her and push her or pull hair. etc. he doesnt hit us or my 7 yr old. I always tell him no hitting. and put him in 2 minute time out. where he screams i want out. and after time out i have him go say sorry and give her hug. My girls didnt hit like he is. they rarely did. everyone is just saying it is cuase he is a boy.

anyone else dealing with this and how?

I have no advice, as my brother and I fought until 10 and 12! Always instigated by him...I am now going through the same ordeal with my ds/dd. DS is only 15 months old but he is very aggressive towords his older sister. Hitting, pulling out hair, biting, it's brutal. I am dreading the years ahead. My mom told me when my brother was little she got him to stop biting by biting him back. She said it only took one time and he never bit anyone again.
