Faerieliss...   Thank you. happytears.gif

Pitbull Mommy...   There have been some breaks in there. I stopped for awhile in 2006 while I looked into adoption, and then only tried off and on throughout 2009. Then there are all of the cycles where the timing was bad because of a lack of donors, or when I couldn't try because I was sick, or sickness brought on AF.

BellawithBaby...   I still have cycles where I think I'm having symptoms, just to have AF arrive as usual. If an old timer like me can be fooled, anyone can be fooled! LOL Thinking back, the only times I was positive that I was pregnant were the times that I was, every other time it was more like "ooh, that could be a symptom, I hope that was a symptom." The hopefullness never goes away, it just settles in a bit and becomes more of an everyday feeling, if that makes sense?

AAM... I got that last minute BD in, it was with one of the "I thought he'd be a regular" donors from last cycle. I was happy that I didn't have to go with another new one. Ugh! Interestingly, I never gave him a name, so I dug out my thesaurus and named him when I arrived home last night. I'm calling him Svelte. (He's skinny like Slim.)

I had another good temp this morning too, so I am very confident that I ovulated yesterday. I don't know if my chart will confirm that or not since I had those three bad temps so recently, but it doesn't matter as long as I know.

Bella: the way you are feeling is the way we ALL felt. It's a crazy, intense journey that you're on and we have all been there.

KittenBritches: Check out the thread I started called Constructive Frustration and showcase your upcoming knitting and crochet creations!

Pitbull Mommy: I know that I have had some of these feelings in my pelvis in the past but more subtle and not at this point in my cycle. I have to tell you all of my cycles ttc have gotten to be a little fuzzy. It's been enough months that I don't remember when I had what going on very well. It gets even more confusing because I had an early MC in July so then I keep trying to remember "did I feel that when I was pregnant... or was that when I wasn't?" I suppose I could keep a highly detailed journal, but I'm trying to stay as laid back and relaxed about everything as possible, and I don't think that would help things. Then I really would have something to obsess over smile.gif

marykgrove, I admire your striving for relaxation! I am an obsessive mess about this, but maybe as we settle into the rhythm of ttcing I'll chill out a bit. One can hope.

Stevi,  here's hoping for ovulation and that the well-timed BDing works out!

pitbull mommy, like most folks here I also drink moderately while ttcing.

AFM, thanks everyone for the warm welcome! According to FF I am 4 dpo right now. I've been having symptoms (irritability, increased appetite, sore nipples) but judging from past cycles I am not to be trusted when it comes to evaluating my symptoms. Plus symptoms at 1-4 dpo seems a little ridiculous. But here's hoping. If this cycle worked out I might have the exact same due date as with my son, so that's fun!

Stevi - It sounds like you have all your bases covered! Fingers crossed that this is it for you!

Faeriliss - Green Tea is supposed to improve the quality of CM and help 'loosen it up.' I'll definitely let you know if I notice a difference.

Pitbull Mommy - I'm always OK with the idea of drinking during the TWW, but when it comes right down to it, I usually avoid it. I do drink Coffee however.

AFM: Just waiting. I'm trying to focus on getting as much physical activity in as I can while I wait to O, as I could definitely stand to lose a few pounds and I'm sure it wouldn't hurt from a TTC perspective either. As soon as DD wakes up from her nap, I'm going to throw her in the bike trailer and head to the splashpark & playground.

Sending fertile thoughts to everyone!

Please move me to waiting to O.  AF showed up today - somewhere between 6 and 9 DPO.  Awesome.  Seems like B6 + acupuncture either did nothing or made my LP worse.  Feeling super discouraged.  Have a midwife appointment tomorrow and am hoping for some good info.  This is the second time AF showed up the day before my appointment.  I'm keeping the appointment this time, but will have to reschedule the pap.

I'm at work, so will try to do personals tonight from home.

Jealous! It has been pouring here for what feels like DAYS  (started yesterday) and isn't supposed to let up until Friday. Honestly, it is better raining now than on the weekend, so I won't complain any more than that!

Same here! My little 15 month old and our dog are getting major cabin fever.

Stevi,  Way to go, Svelte!  Way to help a girl out at the last minute!  ETA, I also breached threadkeeper etiquette and moved you to Waiting to Know without your request to do so, since I agree that you O'd.  Hope that was ok!

cbaa, ok, so I'm allowed to get hopeful and excited about stuff I stalk on your chart or not? winky.gif

faerie, other things to increase CM (suppposedly) are raw carrots and Mucinex (I'm not sure if you have that or not, the actual drug is guaifenesin)

SKJ, bummer about your LP.  That is really short.  I hope that the midwife can give you some ideas.  AF also shows for me right before Pap's too!  I could schedule it a year in advance and it would still happen.  Does your acupuncturist have any suggestions?  Is your midwife good with extended breastfeeding?  If she's not up on it, I bet she's going to say that you have to wean to fix your cycle.  I think that's BS but it wouldn't surprise me.  I get a lot of weird looks at my mainstream OB/GYN when I talk about nursing my 2 year old.

kitten, woohoo on your big win!  I think I might try preseed this cycle too.  My CM is ok but it can always be better, right?  !(Warning, super stupid thought coming up)!  I'm afraid that if I use preseed and my CM is rocking that it will be too slippy and the sperm will just slide right out.  How stupid is that!? duh.gif

carlin, I should totally follow your example and try to stay active before O but it's been raining for 2 days now with no end in sight and working in an office totally interferes with physical activity.

mkg, I totally know what you mean about everything running together.  I have a 15 min memory anyway so to try to remember what day I had what twinge 3 cycles ago is just too much.  The less I pay attention to stuff, the better off I am.

AFM, yep, still nothing.

Sounds like there might be some BFP around the corner for a few folks ;-) Fingers crossed for you all!

skj2011- that sucks about your short LP! Have you been dealing with it long? I hope your midwife can offer some constructive suggestions!

stevi- it sounds like you have your bases covered this cycle!

Everyone- So, since DP's go ahead on ttc LITERALLY came out of the blue considering how long I've been wanting to ttc and meeting only his, "lets wait a while" responses, it caught me a bit by surprise. Every since my son's birth, I've become a coffee addict. lol...like whoa. I'm pretty chill about drinking during the 2ww and ttc cycles, but caffeine has always made sense about limiting. No to mention, I'm not sure you can even 'pretend' there are health benefits to it. LOL! So, over the past week and a half? I've been trying to cut back on coffee hard-core. The caffeine withdrawal has given me QUITE the headaches, but I've successfully gotten by with a cup to a half cup a day. Which, again, is MAJOR improvement. lol Anyone else been trying to quit coffee?

Also, still waiting for AF, no pregnancy symptoms, but also no more AF symptoms...should be something like 11-13 dpo if I'm right about my date of ovulation...

Pregnova - I hear you on the coffee! I cut down to about 3/4 of a cup each day during my last tww, and as of today, I've replaced it with green tea. I've got to admit, I miss the coffee way more than I ever missed drinking though!

Sorry to everyone getting rained on today! We didn't get outside as much as I would have liked this summer as it seemed llike it was always raining or we were fighting off swarms of mosquitos, but we are having a wonderful September so far, and I'm hoping to get the most out of it, before our long, cold, Canadian winter arrives!

Andthestars: Thank you!  So I am going to have to get over my aversion to carrots.  Actually this is so wierd but I couldn't stop thinking about eating carrots and dip when I was on night duty and I thought that was so wierd seeing I very much dislike carrots!  Of course I was at work in the middle of the night and there were no carrots- or dip around haha.  And the guaifenesin is the same as Robittusin (what I am already taking).  Oh my gosh I dont like that stuff either- I gag when I take it and I have to take it 3 times a day!  Luckily I am sick once again and have a cough so its helping with my cough too haha.

Pregnova:  Yes caffeine withdrawal is hard!  I am a shift worker and I rely on caffeine to help me stay away for ridiculous lengths of time and at stupid hours of the night.  There is no way I would have been able to give it up every two weeks for the past two years for nothing.  Luckily with my daughter, i just completely went off it straight away as soon as I was pg.  So thats something for me that i'll wait til I get a BFP to give up.

Stevi ~ your BD timing seems great this cycle! Keeping my fingers (and toes!) crossed for you!!

Oh I'm just so annoyed! I started doing my personnels and it got erased! Yuck!

SKJ- Darn AF... I hope your midwife had some suggestions for you that didn't include weaning your LO!

marykgrove- I envy your craftiness- I haven't organized my time well enough for any of that yet. I dream of someday having that kind of energy!

Bella- I still go through a period of time during every LP thinking that I just have to be pregnant because of my symptoms, but alas AF shows up... You've found a great group of women who understand and will never judge you, all our minds go crazy from time to time.

faerie- I love carrots- I find I can eat more of them if sometimes I steam them, they go down quicker that way (after months eating carrots, it helps when they go quick), as far as the robitussin, you can take 1 mucinex extended release in pill form so you don't have to drink it down 3 times a day.

AndTheStars- still boring on your end huh...  time for you to O already! You can keep chart stalking, but it went downhill tonight, pooey.

pregnova- I don't do coffee so I can't help there, but I do think anything (most things) in moderation wont hurt you, wean slowly. I did have a problem with black tea when we first started TTC, those days seem lightyears away, but it gets better, you may need a tylenol here and there to kill the headache.

I think I caught everyone- now AFM- I just had red spotting after going to the bathroom- I noticed a little color in my CM earlier, so I'm not surprised, just let down. Although, at least this way I expect AF, if I totally made the change to no spotting and then AF arrived, I'd probably have a nervous breakdown. Seriously, Dr. Google will link anything to early pregnancy symptoms, I fully believe you could put in ' eye redness ' or ' skin rash ' and come up with hits about people who were pregnant and had these things in early pregnancy. I know this, only because I googled 'tailbone pain' and early pregnancy, because I, you guessed it, have tailbone pain. I mean, of course, it couldn't be at all related to the fact I also have back pain and hip pain which I've been seeing a chiropractor about for 2 months... it has to possibly be early pregnancy. Alas again I say alas, there are indeed people who have associated there coccyx pain with early pregnancy. Of course, then I got the dreaded blood spots, gah!

I'm going to overhaul the whole thread with my saga... on to the next topic, I met with my RE today. I won't bore you with the details... next cycle I am doing 50mg Clomid days 3-7, I start with ultrasound / blood monitoring on day 12, and then every other day until the follicles are ready, then I get to give myself an HSG trigger, followed by endometrin 4 dpo until 14 dpo, when I go in for a pregnancy test (which after all this better have 2 lines on it!). My RE is amazing by the way... just so ya know!

CBAA yes I have read that it comes in pill form but not sure if it does here (im in aus).  I dont actually have to see my doctor til next cycle so I thought seeing its my last round of clomid I may as well cover my bases and try to make sure my cm is the best it can be as I really have noticed a big differnce since starting clomid.  Thats great you have a plan with your RE and that you like her/him.  It really makes such a difference when you like your doctor and they make you feel really comfortable.  I am not sure if anyone has given you this tip but take clomid at night time to minimise any side effects you may have.  Hope that regime works for you!!

Hello everyone!

I'm just stopping by to say that I was diagnosed with a hernia in my groin and pelvis.  I'll have surgery to repair it this Tuesday.  I asked the Dr. about getting pregnant after that and he said to wait at least 3-6 months.  He said it takes about a year for the site to totally heal and of course a pregnant belly would put pressure on that area (not to mention giving birth!).  So I'll be back TTC sometime next year.  I always thought we'd have a 2012 baby.  Looks like he/she will probably be a 2013 baby.

Wishing you all the very best in your TTC journey!

Just a heads up that I might be MIA for a couple of days because the lovely rain that we are having on the East Coast has caused 8 inches of standing water (as of tonight) to accumulate in my basement.  Awesome!  It's still raining and will probably be raining most of the day tomorrow so it's not looking like this water is going anywhere but up.  The one positive thing is that the stuff backing up from the drains doesn't appear to be raw sewage yet.  DH and I have a lot of bailing and a lot of clean up to do.  Anyway, so please be patient if you would like to be added or have changes made.  If you need something urgently changed, please PM me as it's easier to respond quickly to a PM then check the whole thread.  I'll check in when I can. blowkiss.gif

Ravenstar:  Wishing you all the best with your surgery on Tuesday.  Hoping your pain is well controlled and you have a very quick recovery.

Andthestars: Oh no!  Sorry to hear you are flooded.  I hope the damage is not too bad and the rain eases up soon.  Thinking of you!

Actually, you don't even have to pretend...there are plenty of health benefits to caffeine. I only drink 1-2 small (teacup-sized) of espresso with milk a day, so while ttc I limit to 1. When i was pg with DS, I didn't want coffee at all once my symptoms kicked in (I also didn't want veggies, meat, or anything but carby stuff I don't usually eat...) so I didn't have any. Later in pregnancy I would occasionally drink a cup.
