Just beautiful!! So well written, and so positive! And a VBAC! You must be so proud mama, and rightfully so. Congrats on your new baby!

what a beautiful story, mama. thank you for sharing!  even though everything did not pan out exactly like you wanted, you rocked a lovely birth and are now snuggling your dear little boy. enjoy him!

If you have another, I bet you get your homebirth. I think that was an excellent use of an epidural, as well. You did very well. Followed where your body led you, didn't hold back the emotions, did what you had to do. :)

First, what an amazing picture of his head out!  I've never seen anything like that before! Awesome!

 

Second, what an amazing story!  You got your VBAC mama, you did it!  I hear you on letting your feelings get the best of you when you got the bad news, but maybe you had to go there mentally for some reason.  All in all I think you did wonderfully, you never gave up, you rocked it out.  Great job, seriously.  And what a beautiful baby you grew!! Congratulations!!
