Elevated BBT after food poisoning/stomach bug?

Hi All

I hoped someone could help me.  I had a bag stomach thing about 3 days ago, better by mid-morning 2 days ago.  I really think it was food poisoning.  It was awful.  Anyway, I am CD9 and my BBT this morning was 98.7.  It was 98.6 yesterday and 100 the morning after I was up sick all night.  I am usually below 97.5 at this time of the month.  Is this elevated temp just a remnant of being sick?  Has this happen to anyone else?  Could this affect my ovulation this month or is it just a pain for charting?

Anytime your body is stressed it can absolutely spike your temp and if your body is still killing off the remnants of that virus, a slight fever makes total sense.  Clearly mark the days with "illness" on your chart so that you can disregard them later if necessary to see your pattern.

And yes, this could delay your ovulation by a few days, or it might not.  It depends on how quickly your body feels ready to work on ovulation after working on dealing with the illness.
