Looking for a great charter school or private school in Pasadena

We may be switching from homeschooling my 1st grader to regular school and I'm eager to hear anyone's experiences with any charter schools or private schools in the area.  We are new to Southern CA so I have no knowledge of any of them--I've just been looking online but nothing has really jumped out at me.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I don't have any kids but I am a high school teacher who sees the results of many different elementary and middle schools in the Pasadena area.  I would send my kids to Sequoia if I had any!

Hi Calliope 85!  I'm in Pasadena and I homeschool, and have a kindergartener.  Let me know if you'd like to connect and get together!  I also have quite a few resources for homeschool families in the area!

I know one person who sends their kids to Sequoia, btw, and loves it.

Hi, I realize I'm late to the thread, but just in case I wanted to add I've heard good things about Aveson Charter.  I think they now have two campuses, one in Pas. and one in Altadena.  If I remember correctly they also have a homeschool program.
