Ok...  I'm going to get address lists out by the weekend...  we don't have all the states, but I don't know how many more we'll get...  staggered postcards might actually be nice...  Let's plan to send them out before Thanksgiving, k?

If anyone else wants to join, please chime in.  If your state is already taken, feel free to choose one that interests you...

thanks!!

Thank you for organizing this!

We can also do OHIO but the card will be send from Arizona.

The Ohio postcard will be send out a bit later than our Arizona card.

Has anyone heard when the swap will start?

this sounds great and my daughter would love this.  her grandparents are currently on a cross-country trip and have been sending her postcards along the way.  she just loves receiving them in the mail.

sadly, our state (california) has already been taken, but i have family/friends in several states (MA, NH, FL, RI, TX, DE, ME, VT, WY) who might be able to help.  maybe i'll just wait and see what states are needed.  how fun!

samstress--I too am in CA, but happy1nluv was flexible with me too...I chose another state.  I figure I'll have family send me the postcards, I'll prep the postcards and then mail them out...they will not have the right postmark, but at least great pics and a sweet note!

oh, gosh, never even thought of the postmark.  i could do AZ (my sis is there so we go frequently and i could mail from there as well), but i see it's already taken. :(

like i said, i guess i'll wait and see which states are still needed.  hopefully i'll know someone in one of them.

sorry guys - the week got busy...

I'm prepping address lists right now.  If you're stateless - just pick a state that you want to do and i'll put you down for that state.  I'm making an excel spreadsheet of all the states and attaching the addresses - I'll see how it cuts/pastes to pm you guys.  If you'd rather I email you the excel file send me your email address :)

As far as when it starts... I am totally fine with random postcards flowing in - so my plan is to prep 50 postcards and then do one mass mailing when they are ready and send out any additional ones as other people become interested...  what do ya think?

PS - I only have about 8 addresses so far...  send em in.  Once I have about 15, i'll send out the list and we can get started...  then I'll send out updates in groups of 10 or so...

We are in TX and would like to participate :)

happy1nluv, I PM'ed you with my address but I was curious, what kind of messages should we plan on writing on the cards? Info about our state, just a friendly message, etc...?

I can take Minnesota!  What kind of info/note should we write on the card?!  And mine might not go out until later in October!

Actually, we'd be able to do PA with a postmark if it could wait till mid-November...?!  Let me know which you'd rather.  If no preference, we'll go for MN.

:) In terms of messages...my kiddoss might want to draw pics...  In terms of what I "expect" on messages--I'm happy for anything or everything out there--scribbles, a smiley face, a dissertation on flora and fauna from your state (joking!).  I think this is so fun and exciting, the unexpected is wonderful too!  Thank you all in advance!

What information do you want us to PM you?  Should we also mention our children's ages or our there any guidelines for what sort of post cards we send....

Just want to add that my daughter and I are very excited to do this and we will take it very seriously.
