I am having such a hard time with sleep with my 10 month old, and I am hoping someone will have some advice for me.
Â
My 10 month old dd has NEVER been a sleeper, ha ha. Before a month or 2 ago, she would only nap 20 mins a couple times a day, but recently she has started to have a pretty good (1.5 - 2 hours) nap in the morning and then a smaller (30 mins?) nap in the afternoon.Â
Â
Now, this is my second baby, and I was fully prepared to get up ALL through the night nursing this little one, just like I had done for my first child. My first child nursed every 1 - 2 hours at night until she was 2.5. SO... that I can handle! BUT this little monkey takes it to an extreme, ha ha. If I put her to bed at a decent time (say between 8 - 9 pm), she will get up to PARTY some time between 11pm - 2am. She gets up and is super happy and hyper. And I have to get up with her for a few hours, until she is sleepy again and we can go back to bed. I then have to get up a couple hours later with my 4 year old.Â
Â
Its starting to really really wear on me. So I have started to give her a late nap and keep her up until 11pm, but I don't think she is getting enough sleep, as my 4 year old has her up between 7 - 8am. AND I am really hoping I can have a bit of a break in the evening.Â
Â
We co-sleep and I am not willing to change that at all.  Just wondering if anyone else has been through this and has any words of encouragement for me. Or can ensure me this will end soon, ha ha!
Â
Thank you! :)
