Congrats!! I'm so glad you finally have your little boy in your arms!
Sucessful HBAC 15 months & 1 week after c/s (photo added in post 32) - Page 2
Sorry I've been MIA ladies. Recovering has been a lot more painful than I expected. I have an very unfortunately placed skid mark, thanks to Seth's nucal arm, that is still breathtakingly painful EVERYTIME I have to pee. I've been calling the bathroom the torture chamber. I thought it would be a lot less painful by now (day 6) but unfortunately not. I guess it will just take time for the raw skin to heal up enough to not sting constantly.
Seth is doing really well. He nurses like a pro, and so much better than Aiden ever did. We seem to be settling into a more routine sleep & feeding routine. Hopefully I'll finally get some time this coming week to get the birth story typed up and photos posted.
Meanwhile enjoy this pic of Seth just a few minutes after birth.
He is gorgeous!!
What about peeing in the shower? Do you use a peri bottle EVERY time? Those skid marks STINGGG!! I hear you. I found using chilly water instead of warm water took my breath away long enough that I didn't feel the sting as horribly, and also just dousing the area after I was done and then patting dry helped.
Also, strange, but drink LOTS of water. It will dilute your urine so it doesn't sting as much.
I am so, so happy to hear nursing is going well!! You are doing it, Lyn. All your plans are coming to fruition!
