I'm new--help me with the lingo!

Hello!

I'm just starting out at Mothering and find myself lost with the terminology used on this website, such as DD and DH and "bumping."  There are lots more and I'm sure you all can think of a few to explain to me!!!  Can anyone give me a "dictionary" of terms?  Thank you all!

Welcome! Dear me, this site has changed so much! There used to be a sticky thread with all the terms but I just looked for it and can't find it anymore!

bumping is when you move an old thread up to the top again so it can be found.

Go all the way to the top of the page, along the purple strip, and click on "My Profile". Scroll down that page to "Your Forum Signature". There you will find a clickable "Edit Signature Text". A text box will pop up where you can type whatever you want. If you click on the smilie face then you can pick whatever little pictures you want to add. Hope that helps!
