Any other MEDS besides DICLECTIN? (Canada)

Thread Starter

I have severe nausea and vomitting of pregnancy (NVP) and now on Diclectin 8 times daily. But, I am getting side effects and I think it's being overdosed a bit now-hard fast beating heart, can't stand for long, severe vertigo,  dry mouth, etc. I have vertigo without the meds too though. I will call motherrisk counselors when ds2 goes to sleep for his nap (he's so very loud right now). Any ideas? Tips?

The 4-6 a day wasn't cutting it and I get the "sit and rest" thing for the entire 9 months. It sucks. I can't move around at all or else I'm feeling like I will pass out. My blood pressure a week ago was okay.

I took agyrax (meclozin) until week 12 which workelike a charm. I am not in canada, but I believe I found the medication through canadian hps, so I am quite sure you can get it there. It is believed to be the safest (best tested) medication for nausea in pregnancy and it worked like a charm. This was my first pregnancy without severe vomiting.

Hope that helps!
