yes it is. i started having strong symptoms when my period was a couple days late.

maggie - make sure you are drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of fiber to help with your constipation!  I have done that and haven't had any issues so far.

Hello!  I'm pregnant with #4, at 36 years old.  My due date is actually the end of April, but I *always* go 1-2 weeks 'over' so I've kind of been hovering between April and May.  However, today I went to post a response in one of the threads and realized that I had to actually sign up for this due date club - they must have JUST changed this system?  Anyways, so since I was signing up for the group, I thought I'd also come over here and introduce myself!  I'm doing pretty good - feeling super tired these days, and if I'm not eating constantly I feel nauseous.  I'd lost a lot of weight before this pregnancy, and I'm noticing my body building up a fat reserve once more for this pregnancy - good thing I have a tonne of pants that had become too big, so I should be able to wear those until maternity clothes come in.  Other than that, sore boobs and lots of acne are other joys I'm dealing with - just can't wait until the second trimester!!!  THEN I'll get off my butt and start exercising again :-)

Me too! Are you using anything to treat it? I'm scared to use any of the OTC stuff (benzoyl peroxide, salycilic acid, etc) I've got some tea tree oil I've been dabbing on but it isn't as effective as I'd like it to be...

That happened to me with my first two.  It hasn't yet this time, but it's early days.  My theory is that "glow" people talk about is acne.  You're not broken out - you're glowing.

Oh, I just trust it's part of the first trimester joys, and if memory serves me correct, I think it goes away in the second trimester?  I think it's 100% hormones, so I doubt there's much you can do about it - it's not because of dirty skin, for example so washing it probably won't help.  Perhaps drinking even more water?   I'm just really hoping it goes away soon, I'm having flashbacks of high school days:-)......

Mine only ever went away after delivery, but I think most people aren't so unlucky.

Hi!

I'm 34 and a mama to my son who was born in June 2010. My EDD is mid-May.

I barely feel pregnant at all!

I'm staying away from all that stuff too...I have heard sacylic (sp) acid is bad in pregnancy.

LOL...yeah...more like three months after delivery for me. ugg...I will say that this pregnancy (coming up on 5 weeks) I actually have some glowing skin. In fact, I noticed it before I tested and actually considered it a possible preggo symptom because acne with my period is a pretty sure thing for me. But yeah...I think I have the best skin I've had in my life right now...facially anyway. Anyone else have that? I kind of always thought it was a myth, but guess not.

Oh the acne talk! I had horrible skin with my first pregnancy (DD) and my skin was better with my second (DS). However, since I weaned my son (march of 2010), my skin started breaking out in the worst acne that I had ever had in my life. A lot of my gf's and I are in our early 30's and we are all experiencing "adult onset acne" and we are all at different stages (some have no kids, some one or two etc). I hate that I now have lots of white hair coming in AND acne- is my body 15 or 50- COME ON BODY, pull it together!!! So far with this pregnancy (5 weeks and 4 days), my skin started out bad but it has started to clear up. I have been trying a lot of at home treatments right now. I am trying some homemade masks (nutmeg, honey and cinnamon for one). Right before I found out that I was pregnant, I tried the egg white mask and I LOVED IT but I am wondering if that is safe to do while pregnant? Anyways- I am on the acne train too and have been for a year and a half. Also, this might be TMI but they are cyst-like and huge- not like the little ones I had as a teenager. Exhaustion, bloated and acne covered- I am a joy to be with right now, LOL.

i'm waiting for acne to kick in... i know it's coming. with DD i had it bad on my back. i think it started in the second trimester, maybe this time it won't be so bad!

I've 37 and this is my 3rd!  I'm mama to a 12-year-old dd and a 16-month-old dd.  I'm a bit surprised about the BFP, which is silly as we weren't avoiding, lol.  I don't feel pregnant AT ALL- I only tested because they were hassling us at work about the flu shot.  I was thinking about taking it just because it's such a pain not to- I'm a nurse and they make us wear a mask while doing patient care if we decline.  I was not expecting it to turn up positive!

I don't really have a firm idea about my LMP, which is a bummer as we'd rather not ultrasound.  I know it was in August because we moved and I've had a period in the new house.  But I can't seem to remember any more specifically than that...  I've had two sections and likely will have another with this babe unless by some miracle I go into labor on my own before 40~ish weeks.  It doesn't seem likely with my history though, and there isn't anywhere in the county that will let you attempt a VBAC after 2 sections anyway.  I'd be happy to labor at home and show up pushing, but I'm not going to plan on it...  sigh.

Hi ladies! Glad I finally found my DDC. I thought maybe they just hadn't started a May one yet.

I'm 27 (will be 28 when baby is born), this is baby 3, take 4. Big surprise pregnancy right on the heels of a 5wk miscarriage last month. I haven't even had a period since then. Based on my guess at conception dates, my edd should be sometime in mid-late May. Right around DD2's 3rd birthday. :-) she was almost 2 weeks late some I'm guessing it will be more like late May.

Right now I am trying to not give in to the fear that comes with pregnancy after multiple losses. I want to be in the moment with this baby and despite everything, this feels very hopeful and a lot like the start of a new chapter.

DH and I are talking a lot about what it will be like to be officially outnumbered by our children...a bit scary to both of us. But we welcome this baby with open hearts even now. Praying it will stick and join us in the flesh come May.

We haven't told anyone yet except for one of my best friends, who is due a few weeks before me. Won't be sharing the news with anyone else until the 12 week mark, or as long as we can wait.

Unlike my last three pregnancies, my nose has gone on overdrive in the past few days, so that's fun. And I started to feel my first twinges of nausea last night. I'm exhausted all the time and peeing like crazy and trying to control my urge to blow our entire household budget on pregnancy tests "just to be sure.". :-)

No intuition yet as to boy/girl. Chinese calendar says boy I think.

To stay sane I'm doing standing meditation and trying to visualize the birth of this baby...it helps. :-)

Glad to be here. Hope all of us have safe, healthy, full term pregnancies. :-)

I'm 32 and pregnant with baby #1, this is my first pregnancy. I'm not sure what my estimated due date is, somewhere near the beginning of May. I have an early ultrasound scheduled for this Friday for dating purposes. I'm very excited!

I feel terrible. Nausea is constant and I'm managing it a bit with acupuncture, Unisom and B-6, sea bands and lots of meditation when I can get a peaceful enough moment. I look forward to a time when I can say, "Remember how bad that first trimester was?"  smile.gif

I'm Sarah. I'm 29 (almost 30) this is baby #2 for us. There will be about a 4.5 year difference between them. EDD is May 12.

I keep saying I feel more pregnant than I did with ds. Sore boobs, light head, sleepy and emotional. bouncy.gif
