Looking for "natural minded" family doctor in Eugene OR

Hi there! After a horrible fever adventure with our pediatrician, we have decided to change doctors. Since we have been given this opportunity to change doctors, I would like to go with a family doctor.

Does anyone know of one who is a bit more natural minded?

My 4 month old DS is not vaxed at this point, I don't know if I want to later on. We use herbal and natural remedies over western medicine and don't like to go to the doc unless its really necessary.

That being said, my DD had ear infections and febrile seizures. And my DS has hydronephrosis which has led to a kidney infection so far so I feel like we need to have a doctor who can get to know our family issues.

Thanks so much for any help you can give!!

We recently moved here and I posted about this as well, but didn't get any responses.  If you do a search you can see a few postings and recommendations.

We ended up seeing a FNP at South Hilyard Clinic-Meg Hamilton-and we really liked her and the nurse was great too.  We selective/delay vax and she was fine with that, she was very open, listened to me, and respected our time (we didn't wait long in the reception area or in the exam room).  She will be our main family HCP.  That being said, I don't know if she uses herbs or has any natural tricks up her sleeve.  My kids rarely go to the dr. and we try to deal with a lot of stuff on our own.  Also, she's not an MD-don't know if you need an MD specifically.

Anyway, good luck.  Post if you find anyone else, I'd like to get more recs-just in case!

We've been with Dr. Karen Weiner for... I want to say about 12 years? Maybe 14? Since my older daughter was quite young.

She is pro-vax but will absolutely work with people who do not want to vax. If you want to do an alternative schedule, she'll do that too. I don't vax for a variety of reasons, and she is fine about it.

She breastfed and coslept with her own kids.

Her first advice on breastfeeding isn't always perfect, but she IS willing to work with mom who want to avoid supplementing. For example, when my second was FTT, her first suggestion was "feed a 2 ounce supplement after every feed". When I pointed out that we were already maintaining weight and that to gain the weight she wanted my daughter to gain she'd only need an extra half ounce at each feed, she was willing to have me try that instead. VERY reasonable and willing to work with me even when I didn't take her first answer.

She's a superb diagnostician, which is the biggest reason I ever take my kids to a ped in the first place.

I've always found her to be very reasonable, and she treats me with respect despite the fact that we tend to come at things from a pretty different background/modality.

I've had MUCH worse doctors in this area.

She's with Oregon Medical Group at the Westmoreland clinic.
