That's a great tutorial. I think I might add a little pink hair bow or blue bow tie once we find out. I just need to find a plain black maternity shirt to use.

I dont know if I have the energy to make that, I think the plain black shirt would cost about the same as the one with the baby on it already, I might buy one though. I have to make 2 costumes already for the girls

I got the transfer in the mail, and just need to get a shirt. I might go to Old Navy to see what they have later this week.

I realized I wasn't going to have time to make one myself, so I ordered this one from etsy:

Now I can stop worrying about that halloween party. smile.gif

This Etsy shop has some cute ones. I like the "I'm dressed as my Mom one."

I just need a shirt for my skeleton & baby transfer. I might find a shirt at Goodwill for DH and do the freezer paper stencil for him. Or make him do it. wink1.gif DD wanted us to match her, but she can't decide on what she wants to dress up as. It changes on the hour.

So many awesome ideas. I wanted the family to be a s'more. Dh and I the graham crackers and the kids the chocolate and marshmallow. But the kids wanted to be pirate's so I thought the bump could be the marshmallow and Dh could have chocolate on his graham cracker. But Dh won't do it. :( blahblah.gif. So now I have no clue. I may go with a sarcastic t-shirt

For what it is worth, last year I just dressed in black and got a really pretty cat mask made with feathers and sequins to wear. It was impossible to wear my glasses, but at least I looked cute. wink1.gif

This year I am doing the skeleton with baby from mamabargins for work (preschool teacher). DH and I are going as Juno and Bleeker to an adult party.

I just bought the pregnant skeleton iron on from inspire your walls. They are on sale for 14.99. Off to target to buy a t-shirt! smile.gif

It seems we're going to have an MDC March 2012 official costume! I got fabric paint and freezer paper....gonna attempt to stencil the skeleton myself. Crossing my fingers I don't mess it up!

We made the forum homepage with this thread, too. DH wants to order me a shirt to be romantic or something. winky.gif That money is coming from the same place either way, but I'll let him. I'm going to add a little blue bow. I think we might go get him some Goodwill clothes this weekend and try the daddy version since DD will be at Disneyland with her Grandma and auntie.

I'm also doing the pregnant skeleton shirt!

Sigh. I am so frustrated. Amazon screwed up my order, sent it to the wrong address, sold out, and had to refund my order. (Honestly, first time that has happened with them, so not angry with that company.) I had to go to the mall to get maternity clothes, though, because all of the big box stores have dropped their maternity lines. I find a shirt, bring it home, wash it, and decide to get the transfer on.

It took FOREVER to separate the transfer! I sat at the ironing board with tweezers and tiny thread clippers for about a half hour, just trying to get the little pieces to stay on the clear sheet. I finally got that done, and positioned on the shirt. I had the iron turned down a little lower than they suggested, and it is a good iron, so I'm pretty sure of the actual temp. I set it on the transfer for about two seconds, went to wiggle it around like I normally do on transfers, and the danged thing had melted! In two seconds!

Now I'm left with a ruined transfer stuck to my shirt, and I have to try to figure out how to get the two sets off ribs and half vertebrae off so that I can salvage the shirt. I could paint it pretty easily, but paint won't match, so I need to get the transfer off if possible. I ended up in tears earlier because I felt like I wasted that money on what is now a ruined shirt. Damned hormones. greensad.gif

Due date crashing.  I always wanted to go as a pregnant nun and have The Hubby be a priest, but I'm worried about offending people.  hide.gif

Well, I was able to get the transfer off with tweezers. Since my craft projector is in storage, I laid what was left of the transfer on my laptop monitor, put watercolor paper on top, and traced. I was able to flip it over for the missing part so that it is even. I'm not sure if I'll use an exacto knife or sewing transfer paper to get it on my shirt...but I'll figure it out in the morning. I guess as a bonus, I don't have to make a stencil to make my husband a shirt.
