A dolly for my daughter :)

I want her to learn how to cuddle with the dolly so she can prepare to be a bit sister. She has a few dolls, but they're all pretty big or realllllly tiny...

JoAnn has patterns (All McCalls and all Butterick) on sale for 99 cents today! So that's where I got this one!

And here she is asleep with daddy with her naked dolly.

It was my first real attempt at doll-making (well, I made a doll head the other day that became a wad of trash!!), and I'm pretty happy with it! It has mistakes of course, but I like it

How cute! My daughter Katie saw the picture and exclaimed, "Mom, you made me twins like that!" and she is right, I did.

Great job!

Oh my!!!! That is one of the sweetest pictures I've ever seen. Oh the peace and tranquility of a sleeping babe! The doll looks great too. I got a sewing machine for Christmas but I'm not going to even open it until we're in our new house (june). This is inspiring though!

Wow! Was it hard? I can't sew. My dd would LOVE a dolly like that! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. You have me thinking. :LOL

It's really NOT that hard! It was MUCH more simple than I imagined because of the way they limbs attach.

It had good solid directions too!

The pattern was Butterick 4090, fwiw.
