My new baby is 6 weeks old today, and I have mastitis in both breasts. One breast has a very apparent clogged duct which is where my Dr thinks the infection is stemming from. I have been doing hot compresses, massage, and nursing as much as possible. I am not engorged in the slightest. I am also on antibiotics because I have a uterine infection as well which has spread to my bladder and kidneys.

The place that is clogged is a hard lump at the very base of my breast, basically at the bottom of my sternum. I have never had a clog this "deep" and far away from the nipple before...is that going to make it harder to resolve? Any advice on helping it to pass? I am just so ready to be healthy again
