nut allergies and cross contamination

They're some kids at DDs preschool that have nut allergies.  Obviously, there are no nuts at school, but do I have to be careful what DD eats for breakfast?  It's not uncommon for us to have almond milk or peanut butter, but I can definately avoid it if it could make someone else sick.

Probably the biggest concern would be if the oil was on his hands and then got on something at school.  That can bother a really allergic child.  So, just wash his face and hands after and you should be fine.

Can I just say what a great Mama you are for caring so much about the other child. As a mother to a 4 year old that means a lot to know about thoughtful moms such as yourself  :)

I agree with the other mom "it depends on how allergic the other child is" My child had an anaphylaxis response. I honestly would be okay if you just washed hands and face. Of course make sure it's not on the clothes that the other child might get it on his hands. (just a double check)
