I need tiny undies!! Please Recommend.

My 3yo has the teeniest buns on earth, and I can't find underpants that fit her. The Gerber underpants are too big, and so are the Carter's ones.

In desperation, I tried the Disney characters undies, and they actually fit, but I would really like to avoid them if I can. The princess stuff drives me nuts.

Any other mama's of skinny kids know of underpants brands that run small?

Sounds like my 2yo... She is wearing some day of the week panties we found in a 10 pack at Macy's.  They're cute froggies, monkeys and duckies, that sort of thing.  I don't like the waistband though, it feels really stiff.  The panties we got at Gymboree are slightly bigger but fit her okay and the waistband doesn't make me cringe, but they're pretty expensive.

I think she has Hanes right now. Cheapies from Target. I was able to find one package at Target with no characters on them, just different colors. Size 2t/3t. We're in the same boat. She has no butt and nothing stays up. The cute ones, like Carters or Old Navy or Gymboree, fall right off of her even in the smallest sizes. These Hanes ones are the only ones I've found that fit her.

What section of the store were they in?

DS is 14 mos, and I found undies that fit him at H&M.  Since they have plenty of styles w/o characters for the boys, I'd assume they do for girls too!  I haven't seen any other stores that sell size 1y-2y in undies (at least not in Canada).  The other option is to check out the EC Store or the store section of thediaperfreebaby.org.  Or try posting in the EC forum.  ECers are used to searching for tiny undies!

Back in the baby stuff. In my Target, there's a section with baby/toddler clothes, then some aisles with socks, onesies, tights, etc. They were in with that. There is a bigger section of underwear that only went as small as 4t, these weren't with those.

Hanna Anderson's unders come in size XS, which is supposed to fit age 1-3... sizing is 20-33 lbs, waist size 17 inches. They're not cheap but the quality is great.

At walmart I bought Hanes undies for 2-3T and then took them to the laundromat and dried them on high for about an hour. They are tiny now smile.gif

We did to this to her undies too. The Macy's ones are Greendog.  When she first started wearing undies, I actually had to make my own for her until she grew into the Greendog ones.  I altered the Katrina soaker pattern to work and just used knit from the fabric store that was laying around here.  If I were to do it again, I'd use something thinner, stretchier and possibly meant for that purpose instead of normal knit.

I tried the Hanes undies, they were too big so I shrunk them in the dryer and they are still too big. They fit her around the waist but they hang off of her buns and are really baggy. It wouldn't be a problem but I think they are uncomfortable for her, she goes around picking at them and adjusting them all the time. :(

I'm not in the market for kids panties that are $6 a pair and even if I was I wouldn't be OK with ordering them online because what if they don't fit? Unfortunately I'm really not handy enough with a sewing machine to sew tiny knits and I need these undies now.

I think I have to resign myself to the character undies. Does anyone know if there's a difference in cut between the boys and girls undies? The cars and robots are not nearly as offensive as the princesses. :/

Under The Nile makes some pretty tiny undies.

For me, the hanes undies didnt shrink enough until I used the dryer at the laundromat. It gets really hot and shrinks clothes all the time. Mine is just a normal dryer.

Just as a reference, these were 2-3T and DD is 20.5 lbs.

The Hannah Andersson XS once are way to big on my 23lbs 22 month old son. They don't stay put and fall off.

We bought some tiny under the nile xxxs underwear, not cheap, but the only one that fit him. You can find them on diaper free websites.
