I have an Evelyn too!  It's a family name but I thought it was the most beautiful name in the world when I was little, so I gave it to my firstborn.  The world needs more Evelyns.

I'm Persian and my partner is Bengali. Persian is definitely going to be dominant because I'm fluent and I grew up having to do a lot of cultural things, and my partner's parents didn't really expose him to Bengali culture. We're still going to try our best to represent both cultures, though. We're really excited about it!

We're thinking of 'Dara' as being a possibility, if we have a boy. It has meaning in so many cultures (including both of ours) plus it also has a Gaelic meaning (which is great, because I have some Irish ancestry). I'm really loving the name Lilou for a girl, but I'm afraid that a grown woman wouldn't really enjoy having such a cutesy name.

I have a friend (female) with the name Dara, I love it....I think it could be used for either gender!

We have a Kea, a Tiegan and a Ryland so far.  I find myself totally stumped for names this time.....for Kea our boy name was Leith.  I still like it, but worry about the 'lispy' ending so we'll see.  I've always loved the name Declan, but it seems to be getting pretty popular.  I also really like Shea.  But I'm sure the discussions have just begun!!!!!  I love names, and am surprised by how little inspiration I'm feeling this time around.......

Loving many of the ideas here:-)
